This page is a courtesy translation. The legally binding version is the German privacy policy (Datenschutzerklärung).

Protecting your data matters to us. This website is deliberately built to be data-minimal: it uses no cookies, no tracking, no analytics tools and embeds no third-party content. Fonts, images and scripts are loaded exclusively from our own server. For this reason, no cookie banner is required either.

Note: a separate privacy policy applies to the "Radio Austria" Android app.

2. Hosting and server log files

When you visit this website, the web server automatically processes information transmitted by your browser (server log files): IP address, date and time of access, requested page or file, referrer URL, browser and operating system used.

This processing is technically necessary to deliver the website and to ensure the stability and security of the system (legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — legitimate interest). The log data is not merged with other data sources, not used for profiling, and is deleted automatically after a short period in accordance with the hosting configuration. The website runs on a server operated by a hosting provider; where required, a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with this provider.

3. "Popular stations" list

The landing pages load — once available — a daily popularity list (JSON data) and station logos from our own server (radio-osterreich.net). Only the technical access data described in section 2 is generated in the process. No cookies are set and no user profiles are created; the rankings are based on anonymous, aggregated statistics from the app and contain no personal data of website visitors.

4. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide (email address, content of the message) solely to handle your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR). The data is deleted once it is no longer required for processing and no statutory retention obligations apply.

5. External links

This website links to external services (Google Play and the website of our sister app Radyo Türk). These are plain links without embedded content — no data is transferred to these providers while you merely visit this website. Once you follow a link, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.

6. Your rights

With regard to your personal data, you have the following rights vis-à-vis the controller:
